How Much Does a Landing Page Cost in 2026? Real Prices

What a landing page really costs in 2026: builders, freelancers, studios and agencies compared, with 3-year math and the costs most quotes leave out.

Legacies is an independent digital product and software studio based in Bucharest, Romania, founded by Horia Stan and Alexandru Tălnaci, that builds websites, landing pages and web apps for businesses worldwide. A landing page looks like the smallest web project there is, but the quotes for it range from almost nothing to five figures. Here is where that gap comes from.

A professional landing page in 2026 usually costs between $500 and $5,000 to build. Where you land depends on who builds it, where they are based and how much of the copy, tracking and testing is included. A DIY builder costs anywhere from $19 a year to a few thousand dollars over three years, and that is before you count your own time.

Quick answer

Landing page cost at a glance

These are rough ranges, not quotes. Builder prices come from official pricing pages at the time of writing. Freelancer and agency ranges come from 2026 market guides like Landerlab's landing page cost breakdown and eSEOspace's pricing guide. Those are written by companies that sell landing pages, so read them as a market signal, not a price list.

OptionTypical build costRecurring costBest for
Carrd (Pro Standard)Your time$19 a yearA simple one-pager, a waitlist, a link-in-bio page
Unbounce (Build)Your time$74 a month billed yearly, $99 monthlyMarketing teams that build many campaign pages
Freelancer with a templateAbout $500 to $1,500Hosting, domain, builder plan if usedSmall budgets, a standard offer
Small studio, custom codeAbout $1,000 to $5,000Hosting, domain, optional maintenanceA page that needs to load fast and convert
Full-service agencyAbout $2,500 to $8,000+Retainers, testing toolsBig ad budgets, ongoing A/B testing

One 2026 guide from ProjectCostEstimator puts the full range at $0 to $25,000. That range is technically true and not very useful. Most small businesses we talk to want a page that is fast, clear and ready for ads, and that lands in the low thousands, not the tens of thousands.

What you are actually paying for

A landing page is one page with one job: get the visitor to do one thing. Book a call, join a waitlist, buy a product, download a guide. The page itself is small. The work behind it is not.

The copy

The words matter more than the design. A headline that names the problem, a clear offer and one obvious call to action do most of the work. Many quotes leave the copy to you. If you are not a writer, budget for one, or pick a team that writes it with you.

The design and build

A template is configured. A custom page is designed and coded for your offer. The template is cheaper on day one. The custom page usually loads faster, because it ships only the code it needs. That matters for ads: Google rates your landing page experience as part of Quality Score, and a slow or confusing page can push up what you pay per click.

Tracking and integrations

A form that sends leads to your inbox is simple. A form that sends leads to your CRM, triggers an email sequence and fires a conversion event in Google Ads and Meta takes more time. Ask what is included. "Contact form" can mean either one.

Testing

A/B testing is where agency prices climb. On Unbounce, A/B testing starts on the Experiment plan at $149 a month, or $112 a month billed yearly, according to its pricing page. Testing only pays off with enough traffic. If a page gets a few hundred visits a month, you will wait a very long time for a result you can trust.

Why prices vary so much

The same one-page brief can be quoted at $400 or $6,000. It usually comes down to three things.

Where the team is based

Labor is most of the bill. Clutch's web design pricing guide lists typical agency rates of $100 to $149 an hour in the US, Canada and Australia, $50 to $99 in the UK, and $25 to $49 in Poland, Spain, Ukraine and Mexico. A landing page that takes 20 to 30 hours to plan, write, design and ship costs very different amounts depending on that rate.

Template or custom

A builder template is fast to set up and fine for testing an idea. The trade-off is speed and control: you are inside someone else's platform and pay for it every month. We compared the long-term trade-offs for full sites in Wix vs WordPress vs a custom website, and the same logic applies to a single page.

How much strategy is included

Some quotes cover the build only. Others include research, copy, analytics setup and a round of changes after launch. When you compare two offers, line up what is included, not just the totals.

Builder subscription vs a one-off build: the 3-year math

Builder pricing looks cheap because it is monthly. Over three years it adds up. Here is the math with official prices at the time of writing. The build costs for custom pages are market ranges, not quotes.

OptionYear 13-year totalYou own the code?
Carrd Pro Standard$19$57No
Unbounce Build, billed yearly$888$2,664No
Unbounce Experiment, billed yearly$1,344$4,032No
Custom page, small studioAbout $1,000 to $5,000Build + hostingYes

Carrd is hard to beat for a simple page. Carrd's Pro Standard plan at $19 a year includes a custom domain, and if a simple page does the job, use it. Unbounce makes sense when a marketing team ships many campaign pages and actually runs tests. For a single page that needs to load fast, match your brand and stay up for years, a one-off build often costs about the same over three years and leaves you with code you own.

Hosting for a static landing page is usually cheap, often free or a few dollars a month at the time of writing. We broke down the hosting side in Vercel vs self-hosting Next.js.

What a landing page costs with us

Our Landing Page package starts at 1,499 lei (about EUR 300) and takes 7-10 days. It covers a responsive page that works on phone and desktop, built to load fast, deployed for you, with one round of revisions after you see it. If you need the words written too, our Copywriting service is 299 lei (about EUR 60) and starts with a conversation before we write a single line.

You get a fixed price in writing within 48 hours of our first talk, and the page is yours, with all access and files. Everything is listed on our services page, and you can see what we have built on our projects page.

Landing page or full website?

A landing page is the right call when you have one offer, one audience and one action. Think of a product launch, an ad campaign, a waitlist or a single service you want to sell.

You need a full website when people will look for different things: several services, an about page, contact details, content that ranks on Google over time. A single page has little room to rank for many search queries. If that is your situation, read how much a business website costs in 2026. Our 4-6 page Website package starts at 2,199 lei (about EUR 435).

Plenty of businesses end up with both: a main site for search and trust, plus a dedicated landing page for each campaign.

Costs most landing page quotes leave out

The build is rarely the biggest number. Watch for these.

CostWhat to expect
DomainAround $11 to $25 a year for a .com, if you do not have one
CopyFree if you write it, a few hundred dollars and up if you do not
Photos or illustrationsStock is cheap, a custom shoot is not
Builder planRecurring, and it often goes up as traffic grows
Analytics and conversion trackingOften "extra" in cheap quotes
Ad spendUsually far more than the page itself
Changes after launchAsk how they are billed before you sign

That last one catches people. A page you cannot edit without paying someone every time gets stale fast. Ask how you change a headline or a price, and how much that costs.

How to compare landing page quotes

  1. Name the goal and the one action you want visitors to take.
  2. Ask each provider exactly what is included: copy, design, build, forms, tracking, hosting, revisions.
  3. Ask who owns the page and the code after delivery, and whether you can move it.
  4. Ask how fast the page will load on mobile, and how they check it.
  5. Compare total cost over three years, not just the first invoice.

If you want more red flags to watch for, our guide on how to choose a web design agency covers the eight checks we would run before signing anything.

When to do it yourself and when to hand it off

Do it yourself if you are testing an idea, the page is simple, and you are fine with a template. Carrd or a similar builder will do the job for the price of a lunch. Ship it, see if anyone clicks, and decide later.

Hand it to someone when real money depends on the page: you are about to spend on ads, the page needs to match a brand, it has to connect to your CRM or email tool, or you need it to load fast on mobile. A slow, unclear page wastes ad budget every day it is live.

If you already have a landing page or site and are not sure how it performs, start with our free website audit. It checks speed, mobile, basic SEO and accessibility in a few seconds, with no sign-up. If you are ready to build, tell us what you need on the services page and we will come back with a fixed price and a delivery date.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much should I pay for a landing page in 2026?

For a professional, custom landing page, $1,000 to $5,000 is a reasonable range for most small businesses, depending on where the team is based and whether copy and tracking are included. Freelancers working from templates often charge $500 to $1,500. Agencies that include strategy and A/B testing often start around $2,500. DIY builders cost less in cash but more in your own time.

Is a landing page builder cheaper than paying someone to build one?

In year one, usually yes. Over three years, not always. Carrd Pro Standard costs $19 a year, which is hard to beat. Unbounce Build costs $888 a year billed annually, which adds up to $2,664 over three years, about the same as a custom page from a small studio. The difference is that with a custom build you own the code and are not tied to a platform.

How long does it take to build a landing page?

A simple builder page can go live in a day if the copy is ready. A custom landing page from a freelancer or studio usually takes one to two weeks, depending on how fast the copy and feedback come in. At Legacies, a landing page takes 7-10 days from the agreed brief to launch.

Do I need a landing page or a full website?

Use a landing page when you have one offer, one audience and one action you want people to take, such as a launch, an ad campaign or a waitlist. Choose a full website when people need to explore several services, learn who you are and find you through many different Google searches. Many businesses have both: a main site plus a landing page per campaign.

Does a landing page help with Google Ads costs?

It can. Google Ads rates landing page experience as one of the parts of Quality Score, together with expected click-through rate and ad relevance. A page that loads fast, matches the ad's message and is easy to use can improve that rating, which can lower what you pay per click. A slow or off-topic page does the opposite.

What should be included in a landing page quote?

A good quote should state the copy, design, build, mobile layout, form or checkout setup, analytics and conversion tracking, hosting and domain setup, the number of revision rounds, and who owns the code afterwards. It should also say how changes after launch are handled and billed. If any of these are missing, ask before you compare prices.
