Two people from the same math-informatics high school. We reconnected years later and realized we had the same problem: good tools didn't exist. That's how Legacies started.
We looked for tools that got the job done.
We didn't find them.
Terminals, SFTP clients, website builders. Same moment every time: no app does everything it should. Each one solves something, but breaks something else. You need 5 tools to do the job of one good one.

Legacies didn't start from a business plan. It started from a problem we lived through ourselves and the belief that it deserved to be solved right.
We don't build to be trendy. We build because otherwise it wouldn't exist.
We know it takes time. We made peace with that before writing the first line of code.
Every product starts from a problem we've lived through ourselves. If we don't feel it, we don't build it.
Believes a good product needs to look great before it works perfectly. Works across every layer - from the visual concept down to the backend code.
If there's a technical problem, Alex has either already solved it or knows exactly why it can't be solved. Writes code like he's building something meant to last decades.
